1 Bedroom Cabin in Bailey
Looking to escape the city? Our beautiful, cozy cabin in just 1 hour outside of Denver CO. Relax by the fire or go fishing in the 2 private stocked fishing lakes + pond (4 fishing badges included!). You can also enjoy sitting outside by the outdoor fire ring.
Inside you will find a warm cozy environment suitable for a small family. The living room is the main area of the cabin and takes up approximately 1/2 of the space. In this room there are 2 couches that convert into queen size beds. There is also a large fireplace that you can enjoy with stacked firewood just outside. It is also heated by a large propane heater. There is also a 32" Smart TV with Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, YouTube, etc... all powered by included wifi. There are also several board games to play.
The kitchen comes with a large refrigerator, an electric stove, microwave, 2 coffee makers (drip & Keurig), toaster, silverware, plates, glasses, pots & pans, and basic utensils. It does not have a dishwasher.
The bathroom is small but complete with a shower, toilet, and sink. Towels, soap, and basic amenities are provided.
The bedroom is very small and only has a twin size bed. One person can sleep in here. It is also a good place to store your luggage while you visit.
Our cabin sits on about a 1/2 acre and outside you will find a sitting area with a fire ring where you can sit and enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains. Harris park is well removed from the city but it is a neighborhood with plowed roads, a community center, a small general store, fishing ponds, and trails. It is about 20 minutes from downtown Bailey. You should usually not encounter any issues getting here, even in the winter. However, if there is snow and ice, you may need all wheel drive and a medium clearance vehicle.
Harris park maintains 2 lakes and 1 pond that are stocked regularly with trout. These are only a few minutes away from the cabin. We include 4 fishing badges that allow you to fish in any of these areas and you can keep the fish that you catch. We also have a few fishing poles and tackle that you can use.
There is a public gun range about 2 miles from Harris Park. This is open to the public during the daytime. You may need a 4 wheel drive to get there but I have seen smaller cars drive up the road as well.
There are many hiking trails in the Bailey area as well as several right outside of Harris Park. I have hiked them many times and it is a beautiful area!
There are several restaurants in Bailey, as well as a few shops and activities. Highlights are The Bigfoot Museum and Treehouse Adventure Park.
There is a small General Store within Harris Park that sells many basic food items as well as household items. Also, about 10 minutes away you will find a gas station, liquor store, coffee shop, dollar store, and dispensary.
Conifer is the closest larger town. It has several restaurants, laundromats, grocery stores, coffee shops, and more. It is about 30 minutes away.
